FHWA grants announced for congestion management technologies deployment

Under the FAST Act, funding can be provided to develop model deployment sites for large-scale installation and operation of advanced transportation technologies to improve safety, efficiency, system performance, and infrastructure return on investment. Up to $60 million in federal funding has now been announced in grants for eligible entities. More information is available here .

It defines and measures reliability and describes the costs of an unreliable system to businesses, the traveling public, and local governments.
